An IP address is the address from which the network sees your requests. It changes often: one at home, another on a mobile network, a third on guest Wi‑Fi. That is how the internet works, not a fault.
When the address changes on its own

What happens with Contact
When Contact is on, websites see the address of the service network, not your current access point. That is why the address may differ from your home one. This is expected behavior for a protected connection, not a failure.
A change of address does not make a person invisible. The website still knows that someone visited it. Contact protects the contents of the transfer on the path to its network.
