Data in transit
The contents of your requests are protected on the path from your device to the Contact network. On a shared network, it is harder for others to see that data.
Limits of protection
The service protects data on the path to its network. That helps on a shared network, but it does not replace caution and does not make the internet safe by itself.

A café, hotel, or airport is convenient, but someone else set up the access point. Contact reduces how much you depend on that network.
If you switch from Wi‑Fi to mobile internet, the connection restores on its own. You do not need to add the link again.
Contact does not scan files and does not block malware. Install device protection separately if you need it.
The service does not tell you whether to trust a shop or an email. Passwords and sign-in confirmations remain your responsibility.
Websites still see that you visited them. Contact protects the data path; it does not hide the fact that you use the internet.
